The Blood of Dawnwalker Engine
The Blood of Dawnwalker is built on Unreal Engine 5. Rebel Wolves tuned the PC version around upscaling technology — every supported settings tier expects DLSS, FSR or XeSS enabled at "Balanced" quality or better.

The Upscaler Requirement
- Every tier above expects an upscaler set to Balanced or better — treat DLSS/FSR/XeSS as mandatory, not optional.
- Without upscaling, expect the frame targets to slip on mid-range hardware.
- If you are on a GPU without hardware RT upscaling (older GTX), FSR still applies — minimum spec cards can use it too.
Launch-Window Known Issues
- Stuttering reported in windowed and borderless modes — fullscreen helped many players.
- Shader compilation can crash on some systems during the first launch.
- Cutscenes are locked to 30fps regardless of settings.
- Hotfixes 1.0.2/1.0.3 shipped in the first four days fixing main-quest softlocks and DualSense issues.
