The Blood of Dawnwalker PS5
On PS5, The Blood of Dawnwalker runs three graphics modes, all targeting dynamic 4K: Performance at 60fps, Balanced at 40fps (120Hz display required) and Quality at 30fps. A 60fps Performance mode was confirmed for day one after community feedback.
All Three Console Modes
| Mode | Target | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Performance | 60 fps | Added via the day-one patch after fan requests |
| Balanced | 40 fps | Needs a 120Hz-capable display |
| Quality / Graphics | 30 fps | Highest visual settings |
All modes run at dynamic 4K resolution on compatible displays.
PS5 Pro Performance
- The PS5 Pro is currently the best console way to play: the modes hold their targets noticeably better and the Pro renders with less aggressive dynamic resolution scaling — a sharper image overall.
- 60fps Performance on a base PS5 is playable but rarely holds 60 without a VRR display — a VRR-capable TV or monitor is strongly recommended there.
- Reports suggest (but do not confirm) PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution-style upscaling on Pro; the studio has not published the exact Pro technique.
PS5 vs PC
- PC offers unlocked frame rates and the full upscaler suite (DLSS/FSR/XeSS); consoles ship the fixed modes above.
- Launch patches fixed DualSense issues on PS5 (hotfix 1.0.3).
- The Collector’s Edition (SteelBook, map, art book, statue) is Bandai Namco-exclusive — see Eclipse Edition for what is digital.
